DirecTV Brings Back ‘Wonderland’

DirecTV’s The 101 Network will air the critically claimed and controversial series “Wonderland” in its entirety beginning Jan. 14. The series about the lives of doctors at a New York psychiatric hospital aired for two episodes on ABC in 2000. DirecTV’s run of the series, which begins after the season finale of “Friday Night Lights” at 9 p.m., will feature all eight episodes, including six that never aired, and new commentary from series creator and executive producer Peter Berg, who also executive produces “Lights.” The series will run Wednesdays at 10 p.m., commercial free in HD, on The 101 Network and will be available on DirecTV on Demand. “This show was deemed so intense for network television that it was removed from ABC’s lineup after just two episodes, so viewers who enjoy quality television were frustrated—now they will get to see what they missed,” Eric Shanks, executive vice president of entertainment at DirecTV, said in a statement. “We are proud to add such a provocative and ...
