TNT’s “The Closer” is heading to weekend syndication on Fox Television Stations in the fall of 2010, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Fox announced today.
Kyra Sedgwick stars as Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, who is involved in cracking tough and high-profile murder cases in Los Angeles.
“‘The Closer’ is the No. 1 original series on ad-supported cable ever. It is a tremendous show with broad audience appeal that promises to be an incredibly strong performer for stations on the weekends,” Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, said in a statement.
“Our stations have benefited from running high-profile hours in blocks across key time periods. Adding ‘The Closer’ to our lineups will only further this success,” Frank Cicha, senior VP of programming with Fox Television Stations, said in a statement.
“The Closer” is produced by the Shephard/Robin Co. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
