Verizon Puts Web Shows on Wireless Home Phone Service

Verizon’s new wireless home phone service will carry several Web shows, the company said today. Verizon’s new “Verizon Hub” is a home phone device that runs on broadband and wireless, but does not require the use of a landline phone. The company introduced the service today. Because of the broadband component and the built-in touch screen, Verizon Hub will carry Web shows like “Golf Tips” and “Food Science” from ON Networks and health and lifestyle information videos from broadband network HealthiNation.com.
