When it comes to "American Idol" Adam Lambert 's same-sex kiss at the American Music Awards, the hosts of "The View" are frighteningly prescient. The women of "The View" wondered why the more scandalous parts of Lambert's act were censored while video of a kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears at the 2003 Video Music Awards has been widely circulated on network television. No, they weren't talking about CBS' blurring of the kiss on "The Early Show" during a segment on Lambert. In that case, CBS defended showing an unblurred clip of Madonna kissing Britney Spears by saying that video had been "widely disseminated." (As opposed to, we suppose, the millions of people talking about Lambert's performance.) No, they meant the ABC West Coast feed of the American Music Awards, during which parts of Lambert's performance were censored. Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 NBC's " The Biggest Loser : Where Are They Now?" was early Wednesday's biggest winner, though it was quickly steamrolled by the CBS procedural juggernaut in the later hours. "Criminal Minds" took home the night's demo trophy, and "CSI: NY" ended the evening with a bang for the Eye. Those shows pulled out a significant CBS win with 11 million viewers and a 6.7 rating/12 share in households. NBC came in a distant second with 6.8 million and a 4.1/7, followed by FOX (5.4 million, 3.3/6), ABC (5.2 million, 3.2/6) and The CW (1.3 million, 0.8/1). CBS also took the night's demo win, but barely, with a 2.6 over NBC's 2.4. 'Lost' vs. 'Glee': Who ya got?

"Glee" is already a pretty heavily DVR'ed show, adding an average of 1.67 million viewers per episode this season via delayed viewing. That could go up -- maybe by a lot -- come spring. When "Glee" returns in the spring, the fiercely loved cult hit will be going up against another show with a rabid fan base: "Lost." The ABC series will be entering the home stretch of its six-season run by then, with likely only seven episodes remaining when "Glee" comes back on April 13. In the grand scheme of things, the "Lost"-"Glee" showdown will probably be a battle for, at best, second place. Neither show is likely to beat "NCIS: Los Angeles," which is averaging close to 17 million viewers this season ("Glee" is at 8.5 million, and "Lost" last year drew 11.3 million viewers a week). Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 Tuesday night was a ratings race with CBS' crime procedurals coming out on top among households, but ABC's three-hour "Dancing With the Stars" finale snatched away the adult demo mirrorball trophy -- barely. Also good for ABC was "V," which maintained its viewership from the previous week after dipping in the past two weeks. CBS took the night with 16.6 million viewers and a 10.3 rating/17 share in households, just ahead of ABC's 15.9 million/9.8/16. A far-off third place went to NBC (7.6 million, 4.7/8), followed by FOX (5.4 million, 3.3/5) and then The CW (1 million, 0.7/1). Among adults 18-49, however, ABC jockeyed for position and pulled ahead with a 3.9 average for the night, edging past CBS' 3.8. NBC had a 2.9, FOX a 2.1 and The CW a 0.5. We love the new promo for ABC's "The Bachelor." Not only does it feature way too many pilot/flight metaphors, it also mispronounces the name of new Bachelor Jake Pavelka . Video below. First of all, it's pronounced "Pah-VEL-cah." Not "Pel-VAY-ka." ABC might want to get that right before the show airs. Secondly, all the flight puns need to stop. CBS does not have the same qualms as ABC -- Adam Lambert has been slotted in at "The Early Show" for Wednesday, Nov. 25. Lambert has confirmed to ETOnline that he will now be appearing on CBS morning program "The Early Show," where he'll perform live and also discuss his controversial performance on the American Music Awards Sunday night. Some people were commenting earlier today that Adam Lambert's AMA shenanigans have killed his career right out of the gate, but it looks like he's doing just fine now. What ABC won't air, CBS is happy to pick up. So now Adam gets to perform anyway AND has gotten all this publicity about his appearance. Seems like he's come out pretty good today. Fast National ratings for Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 The final performances of the season on "Dancing with the Stars" scored the show's biggest audience of the season Monday, leading ABC to a victory and helping the new show "Find My Family" and "Castle" grab decent numbers as well. Also of note: CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" hit an all-time high in viewers and surpassed the audience for its lead-in, "Two and a Half Men," for the first time. ABC pulled 15.9 million viewers and a 10.1 rating/16 share in households for the night. CBS (11.9 million, 7.3/11) finished second, and FOX took third with 9.6 million viewers and a 5.7/8. NBC (5 million, 3.1/5) was a fairly distant fourth, and The CW (1.3 million, 0.9/1) trailed with a night of reruns. CBS captured the demographic crown, drawing a 4.0 rating among adults 18-49. 'American Idol': 'Good Morning America' cancels Adam Lambert performance

"American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert has been taken off the "Good Morning America" schedule. Apparently those 1500 complaints about Lambert's performance at the American Music Awards were enough to scare off "Good Morning America." Lambert was slated to perform on Wednesday, Nov. 25 but the concert has been canceled. No word as to any sort of rescheduling. A spokesperson for ABC News says, "Given his controversial live performance on the AMAs, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning." Lambert previous appeared on "Good Morning America" as part of their summer concert series. Considering how many people watched the AMAs, 1500 complaints isn't really that many. It's less than 1% of what CBS received after the Janet Jackson boob incident. This seems a little extreme to us. 'FlashForward' reportedly hits the pause button

"FlashForward" is slowing down. The time-bending ABC drama will pause production through the Thanksgiving holiday, according to Variety . While that might seem ominous for a show whose recent ratings numbers have been less that stellar, an ABC rep told the trades the stoppage had been pre-planned since before the show's launch. "They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so," the rep told Variety . Wait, so the writers knew they'd need a break to punch up their work? The awards show, which featured performances from Janet Jackson , Whitney Houston, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood and others, averaged 14.2 million viewers Sunday night. That was the biggest tune-in for the show since 16 million watched in 2002, and by far the largest audience for the AMAs since they moved from January to November five years ago (the previous November best was 12.9 million viewers in 2004). The show also outdrew this year's Emmys in both viewers (14.2 million vs. 13.5 million) and adults 18-49 (5.5 vs. 5.1). The AMAs and the Country Music Association Awards both gave ABC a pretty decent November sweeps bounce. 'American Idol' Adam Lambert's AMAs performance not so scandalous

Former "American Idol" star Adam Lambert seemed determined to outdo American Music Awards opener Janet Jackson . Apparently, though, acting like a boob doesn't compare to baring one. Despite a closing performance that featured man-on-man smooching, a simulated sex act and one unplanned tumble, ABC tells USA Today the network only received around 1,500 complaints. CBS, meanwhile, reportedly received more than half a million complaints when her swimsuit area was accidentally revealed during a Super Bowl halftime performance. Lambert has said his same-sex kiss wasn't planned , and that his, uh, exuberant performance was the result of an adrenaline surge. 'Cougar Town' back to business, tweets Busy Philipps

All the concerned chatter about " Cougar Town " shutting down production because of a serious family matter Courteney Cox had to tend to? Kind of over the top. Cox's co-star Busy Philipps let fans know via Twitter that the ABC comedy was only dark for one day (Friday, Nov. 20) and that shooting will resume after Thanksgiving. A show insider confirms the report and says that a hiatus was always scheduled for this week. Cast and crew were informed of their unexpected day off last Thursday afternoon, though the details of Cox's personal matter were not disclosed. Thankfully, the situation does not seem to be making much of a dent in production. Jules and friends will be back with a new episode on Wednesday and won't really miss a beat. Fast National ratings for Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 NBC's Sunday NFL game pulled in somewhat lower ratings than usual, but they were still big enough to edge CBS and ABC -- which got the biggest audience for the American Music Awards in seven years -- for the night's top spot. NBC averaged 12.94 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share in households on Sunday, edging CBS (12.69 million, 7.8/12) and ABC (12.14 million, 7.3/12) for the lead. (All three networks had live sports for at least a small part of the night, so their numbers may change a little in the final nationals.) FOX came in a fairly distant fourth with 5.5 million viewers and a 3.2/5. In the adults 18-49 demographic, NBC's 4.8 rating beat out ABC's 4.5. CBS took third with a 3.2, while FOX came in at 2.7.
