"Sesame Street" has been making a fuss over its 40th anniversary through a series of promos, release of a book and new video. And some of its characters are popping up here and there too, from the Google title page to "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where Carroll Spinney's more than lifesized character Big Bird settled into a seat.
Spinney, who spends quiet time in Woodstock, Conn., is one of the few puppeteers who has been with the show throughout its four decades.
